My parents came to Vacaville to see our Primary program, Savannah gave a talk, and to spend Halloween with us! We had a great time with them. We haven't spent Halloween with them since Savannah was one! The day before Halloween we went to the pumpkin patch and the kids went in the "corn bath". They loved burying themselves in the corn and picking out their favorite pumpkins!
We found some Funkins at Joanne's and decided to try them out. It was a lot less mess too! The kids really liked them and were able to carve them by their selves. Plus you get to save them for next year too.
Savannah is a Medieval Princess, Wyatt is Anakin Skywalker, Caitlin is a Mermaid, and Brielle is the Chicken of course!
Our FunkinsHalloween was so much fun! First we went to our Ward Halloween party. We had homemade chili, hot dogs, corn bread, and pumpkin pie. The kids had games and face painting, so the adults could eat the pumpkin pie in peace! Next they went Trunk-or-Treating and gathered lots of candy. After that, we invited a couple of friends and their kids to go trick-or- treating on our street. There was a Haunted House a few houses down from us that was made for kids. They ended up going through it three times! It was fun to go around in our new neighborhood and meet some people. The kids collected a ton of candy that will last through Christmas!
